Emergency Prepardenss for Skilled Nursing Facilities webinar

There are Physician, Nursing, Social Worker, and Nursing Home Administrator credits for this session. Please follow the instructions for the credits below to receive them. For all credits, the learner must sign into the webinar with their first and last names. Those failing to do so will not receive credit for the session.

For Physician, Nursing, and Social Worker credits:

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Bureau of Emergency Preparedness, EMS, and Systems of Care is using Western Michigan University (WMU) as our continuing medical education, nursing, and social worker credit provider. Please ensure you follow the entire process to receive credit for the webinar. Failing to follow all steps will result in a forfeit of credit.

  • The activity code you need will be given on the day of the session. You can create an account prior to the session to save time.
  • You can either check in by text or by the CloudCME mobile app. Attached is a cheat sheet on how to check in. If you wish to use the mobile app, attached is a cheat sheet on how to download and set up.
  • Make sure you have an account with WMU. If you do not have an account, you can use the Create Account cheat sheet attached to set one up or use the mobile app.
  • Checking in does not complete the process. You will still need to log-in to complete your evaluation online (within the 30-day window).
  • The new portal website is accessible via the following link: https://wmed.cloud-cme.com/aph.aspx Use the appropriate sign-in option (WMed login or email and password), or you can use the mobile app.

For Nursing Home Administrator credits:

  • Make sure you have your credit selected in MI-TRAIN for this session. If you need to add them, go to https://www.train.org/main/course/1123527/live-event and click more actions and change credit type.
  • Once the session is complete, go to MI-TRAIN and go to the session home page (https://www.train.org/main/course/1123527/live-event)
  • You will first see a button that says Mark Complete. Click this button
  • Then you will see a green button that says Take Evaluation.
  • Once the evaluation is complete, you will automatically receive a certificate of attendance. The official certificate will be available in the through the National Association of Long-Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB).
  • The NAB requires a list of session attendees receiving nursing home administrator credit be sent to them following each session. Ensure you are registered with the NAB. If you have questions reach out to Kerry Chamberlain chamberlaink2@michigan.gov. We may reach out to you if you are not on file at the NAB.
