The Oakland County Homeland Security Division is hosting a Disaster Response and Mass Casualty Incidents special presentation sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Metro Detroit.

Target audience includes; Fire-Rescue, EMS, Emergency Management, Hospital, Public Health, Incident Management Team (IMT) members, and MI-1 DMAT members,

Speaker Col (res) Dr. Ariel Bar is a former Chief Medical Officer for Home Front Command in the Israel Defense Force (IDF).  Dr. Bar will share personal experiences and lessons learned from his work in the IDFs search and rescue and operating field hospitals during response and recovery from earthquakes, tsunamis and hurricanes to include India (2001), Haiti (2010), and Japan (2011).  He can provide a valuable perspective concerning natural disasters as well as mass shootings or terrorist attacks.
